A linear operator T on R[x_1,...,x_n]
is called a positivity preserver if it sends each positive polynomial p from
R[x_1,...,x_n] (i.e. such that p(x_1,...,x_n) > 0 for all real (x_1,...,x_n)) to a positive polynomial. In this talk I will describe
some recent results on their characterization. No preliminary knowledge is required.
